The pergola attached to the back of our house was in bad shape and didn’t provide much shade because it faced. And I felt like it blocked us from enjoying the big trees in our backyard.

My wife and I took it down and set it aside for a year or so. I got motivated this summer to put together a table for the stamped concrete patio we had put in last year. We love to entertain and this was going to be a great addition.

I ran all the 4′ x 4′ pieces and 2′ x 8″ pieces through the planer to get rid of the old white paint. I kept some of the paint on it to help with the rusticness of the table. I then put it together with screws, glue, and biscuits. I used leftover paint that I diluted with water and then sanded it down some. I put four coats of oil-based polyurethane on the top and the legs.

Are you interesting in having something built? Great. I’d love to help. Give me a call or text at 720-427-5660 or fill out the form to the right and we can set up a time to talk. No pressure. I’m just interested to hear what you’re thinking.
