I made a wall hanging before Christmas for a buddy of mine. He and his wife had honeymooned in the Bahamas and had a favorite hangout called the Chat ‘N’ Chill. He surprised her with this wall hanging. Its unique shape fits into a portion of a wall in their recently remodeled basement. I built it, painted a base coat, and then transferred the design onto the piece with a projector.
My buddy and his daughter (step-daughter of the recipient of the gift) did most of the painting while I mixed up the colors for them. This was the first time having a customer paint the wall hanging — it was great fun and added to the personalness of the gift.
